Dylan

The big musical event of this week is Martin Scorsesi's film about Bob Dylan. I, of course, was horrified by Bob Dylan when he appeared on the scene. This isn't ornamentation we're hearing. These aren't grace notes. This is singing off the pitch as in not paying any attention at all. A lot has happened since then, but for me it's still singing I want.

I loved Joan Baez. It's fun to hear her telling about being very square. They both possessed a divine madness.
