One of the sons decides peace with Rome is the right way to go, but Mitridate is more worried about his future wife's possible infidelity. He commits suicide at the end.<BR/><BR/>It's an amazingly good opera for a 14 year-old and the singing is good. I thought Bruce Ford was vocally and dramatically convincing. He has appeared often on Opera Rara recordings and, last year, sang the lead tenor role in "Lucrezia Borgia" for the Minnesota Opera.
