Dueling Sonnambulas

Seeing La Sonnambula yesterday made me want to listen to the Bartoli recording again. If there is a contest, the Bartoli version wins hands down. Track 18 duet is utterly fantastic. In my humble opinion. Now if I only had humble opinions!

I am increasingly mad for this recording, and it's all Bartoli that makes it exceptional. She gets the rhythmical flexibility that makes Bellini soar. I'm starting to regret I didn't go to Baden Baden when I had a ticket. Darn.
