Question

Is Pavarotti the last Italian tenor? I'm starting to worry. I liked Licitra because he seemed to be carrying on the tradition, but he needs a bit of polishing.

What about Sicilian Marcello Giordano -- or has he been around too long to be considered part of the New Wave?

Marcello Giordano / Marcello Giordani? A Kansas City tour group says the tenor in New York is called Marcello Giordano, but when you read the Met listings, his name is Marcello Giordani. I think these are the same person.
