Happy Birthday, Ms Price



It is the great one's birthday.  For me this film shows her at her spectacular best.  I have had to replace this.

My first live opera was "Aida" with Price and Franco Corelli, back when the Met went on tour to various Midwestern cities. It was in Cleveland at the old Public Auditorium, a horrible place for opera, more suited to car shows and home & garden exhibitions. I'm guessing it was 1968 or '69. nonetheless -- spectacular.
