This DVD from Glyndebourne of Manon Lescaut from 1997 is gorgeous. Adina Nitescu and Patrick Denniston, both singers I am unfamiliar with, are excellent. Ignore the opera in a box sets.

He is gorgeous, but I can't find a picture of him.
