Bach I like
This is the first thing I clicked on: the messe in ha moll with Gundula Janowitz and Hertha Topper.
And this is David Daniels. This may be a fairly accurate representation of how it would have sounded in Bach's time, since we know women didn't sing in church there either.
I'm trying very hard to remember how much I love this piece, though not as much as the Mattheus Passion.
Oh well.
