Joyce is like a shaft of sunlight on a cloudy day.
Off topic: it still rankles that my local band had the opportunity to hire Maren Alsop some years ago...and didn't. Instead they stuck us with the entirely second rate Mario Venzago for much too long. We needed her far more than she needed us so I'm delighted to hear her conduct the last night of proms. End of rant.
Proud of our two American girls in London. :-)
