The sudden appearance of a dvd review should signal that I am back at home. I bought this at my neighborhood Borders which has a surprisingly good selection of opera videos, far better than anything at the London Virgin Megastore in Picadilly Circus. I'm going back today.

Hi, I would have sent you an email, but I didn't see a link to do so. Anyway, I was just wanting to listen to an opera from beginning to end--something I've never done--and I was wondering if you could direct me to some sites that have streaming or downloadable opera for free. Thanks for your time.
The Bel Canto Society has streaming audio at this link: http://www.belcantosociety.org/pages/webcast.html Their material is classic and quite good, with an emphasis on Italian bel canto.
I think the Met broadcasts are streamed, but I have no definite information.
